Stop the church
        I want to get off

What is the cause of the breakdown
                  of British society?
We cannot blame the foreigners who come to our shores, because it is bad in areas where there are no immigrants.  So what is happening to us?  The real cause is the  abandoning of Christian values.  If there is no God, no Heaven and no Hell, then why bother?  Let's do whatever turns us on and have a good time getting drunk, sleeping around and taking drugs.  What does it   matter if some don't like it.  Life is short, so let's have a good time.  That is what many think today, but it is a recipe for loneliness, a short and sad life with a rise in disease caused by moral decline.  So do we really want this?
Actually, God is not dead, Hell is still there and Heaven is on offer for those who choose to follow   Jesus and His teaching.
Demonstrating the power of God is scary to say the least.  To command bad spirits out of nice people can seem quite strange.  Whether we like it or not, Jesus said we are to heal the sick, cast out bad spirits and raise the dead in His name.  We prefer to teach good sound doctrine, but people are looking for the God who can do something to change their lives.        Somehow we have to spread this good news (The  Gospel), but how?   Perhaps we should heal the sick!

Scratching where it Itches.  At the last Election, William Hague thought he had the winning ticket.  He was sure most people were against having the Euro, so he fought the election on that policy.
He may well have been right, but it was not the burning issue for the British people and he lost miserably.   The church is offering Heaven to a lost generation but it is not the burning issue, so what is?  I care          passionately about showing people the way to Heaven but it is of little     interest to them.  Perhaps they would be interested in a God who loves them and wants to be their friend or perhaps we are going to have to do what Jesus said.  He came to heal people and so He got a hearing.  That requires putting our necks on the line and requires lots of prayer, a Holy  Spirit filled life.   What do you think?
